Red Letter Christians Podcast
A Christian commentary on the way of Jesus in the world today with Red Letter Christian leaders Dr. Tony Campolo and Shane Claiborne. Red Letter Christians gets its name from the Bibles that highlight the words of Jesus in red and we are aspiring to live “as if Jesus meant the stuff he said.” Some episodes of this podcast have been adapted from the radio show “Across the Pond” which airs on Sunday afternoons in the UK on Premier Radio. Others are from events such as Faith Forums, Book Clubs, and Monthly Morning Prayer.

Shane Claiborne and Lisa Sharon Harper have an important discussion with Amy Kenny on her book, My Body Is Not a Prayer Request: Disability Justice in the Church recorded on October 27th.
“Written by a disabled Christian, this book shows that the church is missing out on the prophetic witness and blessing of disability. Kenny reflects on her experiences inside the church to expose unintentional ableism and cast a new vision for Christian communities to engage disability justice. She shows that until we cultivate church spaces where people with disabilities can fully belong, flourish, and lead, we are not valuing the diverse members of the body of Christ.”

Christ, Clowns, and the Cottage Church | Lea Wilkening
Thursday Sep 29, 2022
Thursday Sep 29, 2022
In this episode, Shane Claiborne speaks with Lea Wilkening about church planting, being a clown and comedic improv, and holding onto joy. Lea discusses what it means to open a church in friendship.
"Lea lives in Oakville, Ontario with her husband, John, and sons, Jack and Josh. She holds a Master of Divinity degree from Calvin Seminary, an Accounting degree from University of Illinois, and is a graduate of the Improvisation Conservatory Program at Second City, Toronto. She has served justice and reconciliation ministries since her youth and started out community organizing at a young age. She thinks that when given the right tools and support, young people have the vision and capacity to lead the rest of us in the next era. She loves to laugh and thinks communities of faith have plenty of reasons for joy." [from https://www.thecottagechurch.com/about-us]

The RLC Podcast is back!
Since the inception of Red Letter Christians, we’ve collaborated with some great partnerships to get our message out. For several years, we had a television show. For over a decade, we’ve had a weekly radio show, “Across the Pond,” airing on Premier Radio in the United Kingdom. In 2020, both the pandemic and Tony’s stroke made it difficult to record new content, but we’ve got good news…new episodes can now be found each week online or on the radio in the UK! These shows along with content from RLC events and friends can also be found on the RLC podcast through iTunes. You can also find the video recordings for all events on YouTube.
